About the event
We are thrilled to offer you a bonus live paint event with repurposed art, a live paint exhibition, and an Art Clash competition, featuring Elgin-area celebrities!
Repurposed art exhibition: area artists have selected abandoned or donated works to reimagine, rework, and repurpose. These works will be on display and available for purchase, all in support of Side Street's Future Home at 62 S. Grove Ave. Featured artists include: Yesenia Arroyo, Amaris Danak, Kathryn Eli, Nicki Fortunati-Warren, John French, Doug Hanson, Karl Jahnke, Nick Jostes, Bay Kennedy, Rachel Elizabeth Maley, Luiza Moraes, Jess Rocha, Eli T., Andrew Vo.
Live paint exhibition: Art Clash veterans will put their talents on display, creating original works right in front of your eyes. Works will be up for auction on site at the event, with all proceeds supporting both the artist and our Future Home. Featured artists include: Kathryn Eli, Nicki Fortunati-Warren, John French (former city champ and international representative), Karl Jahnke (former city champ), Bay Kennedy (former city champ), and more.
Celebrity Art Clash Showdown: Art Clash is a live PAINTING competition where artists get 20 minutes to paint an original creative work and the audience votes for the winner! 2 rounds of painting will determine our first-ever Celebrity Art Clash Champ. The artists NEED YOUR VOTE! Works will be up for auction on site at the event, will all proceeds supporting our Future Home. Featuring celebrities include: Tia Aagesen, Ula Borodzinska, Chad Goodman, Gary Swick, Joe Vassallo.
Tickets are $22 online and $25 at the door.
Our Future Home: Through the generous support of the Reva & David Logan Foundation, Side Street Studio Arts, NFP is embarking on an exciting transition - moving to a permanent location in downtown Elgin! Our future home, located at 62 S. Grove Ave., will allow our exhibition, performance, education, and advocacy programs to all live under one roof, offer greater accessibility for all, and quadruple our space.
