GENERAL INFO

*Our 1st Floor GALLERY is perfect for small group gatherings and can house approximately 70 guests.

Side Street Studio Arts is a one-of-a-kind venue in downtown Elgin, home to Side Street’s arts education programs, and serves the community as a gallery, performance, and event space.

We currently offer our Gallery, Theater, and Backspace areas for your event.

SSSA Gallery may accommodate up to approximately 70 guests.

SSSA Theater may host up to 90 guests.

Backspace may host up to 45 guests. Both Theater and Backspace includes a full kitchen, lobby, and a Green Room. Both are on the second floor and are not wheelchair accessible.

All set up, event management, and clean up are the responsibility of the renter.

Weekend Rates: Friday-Sunday

1st Floor Gallery:

$100 per hour w/minimum 4 hour rental.

$75 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.

2nd Floor Theater:

$125 per hour w/minimum 4 hour rental.

$85 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.

Weekday Rates: Monday - Thursday

$90.00 per hour w/minimum 4 hour rental.

$65 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.

2nd Floor Theater:

$100 per hour w/minimum 4 hour rental.

$75 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.

Please note: the THEATER is not wheelchair accessible.

HOW ABOUT A PARTY?

Event Packages (for various parties):

KIDS DANCE PARTY

$250.00 (for a 12 child maximum)
A dance teacher will lead a basic dance class culminating in a short performance (60 minutes). The class will be tailored to the ages of the children.
*Pizza and drinks provided. (*Onsite event only)
Presents and cake to be provided by the family.
2 hour maximum time allotment.

ART PARTY: KIDS!

$350.00 (for a 20 child maximum) Ages 5 -17
A professional art teacher will lead the group in arts activities, including but not limited to visual art/painting/drawing, crafts, performance, movement, and games! Activities may be tailored to the ages of the group. Kids get to take their creations home with them!
Live music may be provided at an additional cost.
*Pizza and drinks provided. (*Onsite event only)
Presents and cake to be provided by the family, if applicable.
2 hour maximum time allotment.

ART PARTY: ADULTS! Ages 17 and up

$450.00 (for a 20 adult maximum) Additional adults can be added for $20.00 per person.
A professional art instructor will lead the group in arts activities, including but not limited to visual art/painting/drawing, crafts, performance, movement, and games!
Live music may be provided at an additional cost.
The event may be tailored to the ages and interests of the renter.
*Light snacks and drinks will be provided. (*Onsite event only)
Presents and cake to be provided by the family, if applicable.
2 ½ hour maximum time allotment.
